The Fundamental Flaws of Fundamentalism PDF Print E-mail
Written by Webmaster Steve

Most of us know the term “fundamentalism,” but few of us really know what lies at the heart of this approach to Christianity and other faith traditions. On Sunday, August 3, 2008, and for the next four evenings, Kevin Fleming will offer five one-hour presentations on various aspects of fundamentalism. Beginning with dessert each evening at 6:30 pm, each one-hour presentation will begin at 7:00 pm and include lectures, hand-outs, discussions, and many discoveries, as well as suggested alternatives to the fundamentalist way.

Pastoral Changes PDF Print E-mail
Written by Webmaster Steve

It is with mixed emotions that First Pres said farewell today to Co-Pastor Wendy McCormick. In a service filled with applause and gratitude, some of our members participated in a Litany of Thanksgiving for Wendy's 10-plus years of service to our congregation. On June 1, Wendy will become the director of the Southwest Indiana office of the Center for Congregations.

We are especially thankful that Kevin will remain with us in his new role as Pastor. Kevin's leadership has been instrumental in ensuring that our church continues to be vibrant and active in this transition. Watch this space for news of exciting new activities and events that will continue to enlighten our spirit and renew our lives!

Good luck, Wendy, in your new position! We wish you all the best!
